The Delachaux Group founded in 1902 and headquartered in Gennevilliers near Paris, France, is the leading supplier of mobile electrification products worldwide.  Delachaux is also the world leader in track railway components [rail welding technologies and fastening systems], magnetic equipment, chromium metal for aircraft engines, plastic injection systems, and special steel.

On January 1st. 2006, the Conductic Operations of the Delachaux Group initiated a new trademark name:  CONDUCTIX.  Facilities under the Conductix name include Delachaux locations in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and China, as well as former "Insul-8" locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Mexico. The new organization strengthened CONDUCTIX's leadership role in worldwide mobile electrification markets. On January 2007, the Conductic Operations were further expanded with the acquisition Wampfler AG (Weil am Rhein, Germany). Since then, the brand name for the Conductic Operations has been renamed "Conductix-Wampfler" and the two companies have begun merging operations.

The reorganized Conductix-Wampfler will focus on increasing its share of core mobile electrification markets worldwide.  These markets include port container cranes, overhead factory cranes, automated material handling systems, bulk material handling systems, mining/construction equipment, transit systems, converting/packaging machines, and agricultural equipment.  Products are also sold for factory automation, amusement rides, car wash systems, theater lighting/sound, water treatment plants, and other specialized applications.
