APPLICATIONS
These are multi-conductor 600 and 2000 volt signal cables designed for aerial
installation. They consist of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) insulated conductors,
a moisture-resistant binder tape and a tough neoprene outer jacket.
FEATURES
1. CONDUCTORS
Solid, soft drawn, bare or tinned copper per ASTM B258 and ASTM B33.
An optional stranded conductor, Class B or Class C per ASTM B3 and
ASTM B8, is available upon request.
2. INSULATION
Heat and moisture resistant EPR meeting the requirements of the AREMA
Communications & Signals (C&S) Manual of Recommended Practices part
10.3.19, suitable for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 90°C.
3. CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
Black conductors with number print: (1-ONE, 2-TWO, 3-THREE, etc.).
One black conductor with a red stripe serves as a tracer.
4. ASSEMBLY
The insulated circuit conductors are cabled together with flame resistant
non-hygroscopic fillers as needed. The cabled core is wrapped with a
moisture-resistant binder tape.
5. OVERALL JACKET
Heat, moisture resistant and flame-retardant neoprene meets the
requirements of the AREMA C&S manual part 10.3.20. Also available in
polyethylene (PE) or in LSZH crosslinked polyolefin (XLPO).
6. IDENTIFICATION
The jacket surface shall be ink printed or indented with:
